Q.
Is coaching just for companies that aren’t doing
well?
A.
No. Companies of all sizes and at all stages of
performance use coaching to help them improve. Just
like sports’ coaches start where ever their client
is, so do business coaches.

areas your business may need help.
Q.
Can’t I just read a book and learn what I need to
know?
A.
Books are written very generally, in order to
attract as wide an audience as possible. Everything
in a book may not be applicable to your situation.
And, there is so much in a book, it can be
overwhelming about where to start to make changes.
This is one of the benefits of a coach who
understands your company, your situation as an owner
and your goals as the company owner. Your coach will
take all of this into account as they work with you
to outline plans for improvements and to set goals
tailored for you.
Q.
How do I
know if I’m coachable?
A.
Coaching is for people who want to perform at a
higher level and who are able to make significant
and lasting changes to their business and their
lives.

Q.
How does coaching
work?
A.
There are several steps to getting started with a
coach.
-
Have an
initial, free session to determine if you and
the coach are a fit for working together. If
yes, hire the coach and agree on a date to
begin.
-
Have the 1st
working session.
-
Set the
groundwork for the coaching relationship.
-
Discuss
the business and the owner’s goals.
-
Decide
the first area to work on the business.
-
Assign
homework to prepare for the next session.
-
Meet for
follow-up sessions to assess progress and/or
realign goals.
-
See amazing
business successes.
Q.
Do you do a
"Free Session"?
A.
The steps we use to discover whether we are a good
fit with any potential client is very thorough. We
first talk to interested owners on the phone for
15-20 minutes to understand the business and explain
coaching and results that can be expected. If both
parties decide it makes sense to move ahead, we'll
make an appointment to come to your office and meet
with you in person. At that meeting, we'll get much
more in-depth in our understanding of each other and
what we're looking for in a coaching relationship.
At the end of that discussion, both parties will
have the information they need to decide whether
coaching is the right next step for them.
Q.
Where does
coaching happen?
A.
We prefer to start out meeting face-to-face to
establish a relationship between you and the coach.
This can be done in your office or at another site,
if your office is too distracting. Follow-on
sessions can be done over the phone, if needed.
Alpha believes it is important that a level of trust
develop between you and your coach and this happens
much faster in face-to-face meetings.
Q.
Are there any guarantees to hiring a coach?
A.
Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee any specific results since so
much depends on whether the client is willing to
change and consider expanding their horizons. We
will, however, refund anyone’s money, if after 30
days, they are dissatisfied with the coaching they
are receiving.
